Postulant Jillian Ruch provides our sermon for today, reflecting on a passage from Mark Chapter 6 verses 30-34, and 53-56.  The apostles had gathered around Jesus, and told him all that they had done and taught. Jesus said to them, “Come away to a deserted place all by yourselves and rest a while.”  In today's reading we learn about Compassion, Wisdom and Resilience.  In managing himself, the Apostles and the crowds that gather, Jesus models for us what it feels like to push through even when we are very tired for the good of His Kingdom.
