2 Kings 20:5

"I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears, surely I will heal you"

Today's scripture is a beautiful depiction of God engaging and embracing us in our darkest hour, in our need. It is inevitable in our lives that we will experience sadness, despair, grief, depression, anxiety. But it is ultimately our choice in how we will respond to "life". We can allow ourselves to sink ever more deeply into our own sadness, or we can do the difficult work of pulling ourselves out by turning to our Father in prayer and then to our trusted family and friends.
