Episode 149 of the Common Weal Policy Podcast
You can download the episode directly here.
This week, Craig talks to Keith Baker from Common Weal's Energy Working Group and Dr Marc Hudson, historian of climate science and climate policy. They look at COP27, the failure of politicians to make sufficient promises when it comes to averting climate change, why they then go on to fail to meet those insufficient promises and what we as individuals can do to rise to the challenge they have abdicated.
Marc's blog on the history of climate science can be found at allouryesterdays.info.
And his personal blog can be found at MarcHudson.net
Common Weal has distilled ten years of our policy work into our new book Sorted: a handbook for a better Scotland. The crowdfunder is still open until November 30th and the book will be launched on our shop in December.
Common Weal's work is only possible thanks to our generous supporters who regularly donate an average of £10 per month. If you would like to help us build our vision of an All of Us First Scotland, you can do so here: https://commonweal.scot/donate/
The Policy Podcast would like to discuss all of Common Weal's policy papers in detail as well as other major policy stories in and around Scotland so if there are any topics that you would like to see covered or if you have an interesting policy story to tell and would like to be a guest on the show, please contact Craig at [email protected]
