Lately, I have been experimenting with the cold shower challenge.
It is a program to essentially get you to slowly learn how to take cold showers in order to control your breathing.
I am on week 2 of the 4 week challenge.
Each week adds :15 seconds to your previous week.
So I am now ending my regular morning shower with :30 seconds of the coldest water setting available.
I have been having my son use my phone as a timer, so I know when I am finished.
Well... yesterday he decided to pull a prank on me.
He paused the timer and didn't tell me.
As I waited for him to tell me that I was done, I had actually stayed under longer than I had ever done before.
It was a great reminder from my 7-year old son, that I was only limited by my own thoughts.
When I told myself I could only do 30 seconds, that's all my mind would allow me to do.
But by taking that limitation out of the way...
