This Month Chris Nicholl and James Tordoff of team “Hell Oar High Water” will be undertaking a challenge of a lifetime. The two Bradford lads will be rowing more than 3,000 nautical miles, unsupported, across the Atlantic Ocean as part of the Talisker Whiskey Challenge 2019. On 12th December 2019 they will depart La Gomera in the Canary Islands en route to the island of Antigua in the Caribbean.
I had the privilege of chatting with the lads during their preparation for departure. They shared details and insight into the extent of the enormous challenge ahead of them from training, logistics and the technology involved to survive a race like this.
I’m not sure if they are brilliant or crazy but I can’t wait to follow their journey after this interview!
