Two history graduates discuss the life of Cleopatra VII, the Last Pharaoh of Egypt.
Cleopatra is an iconic figure that is well known around the world. Known mainly as a seductress due to the lasting impact of Roman propaganda, this episode explores her achievements and how she came into power. A polylinguist and a skilled diplomat, who utilised the generally positive relationship she had with the Egyptian people to her advantage, she was unusual for her time. In this episode, we discuss the relationship she had with Marcus Antony and how it let to her downfall.
