Episode 15: Contracts to CYA

Listen Later

What DOES go into a contract to CYA? Though I'm not a lawyer, I've had to deal with contracts a LOT. So, I'm going to give you a super linear breakdown of my own contracts from top to bottom. I'll start off with all the identifiers I include to make it crystal clear which business entities (including my own) are involved. Then, I'll circle back to those proposals and scopes of work that we've covered and let you know what information you should pull from them into your contracts. Then, VERY much in keeping with covering your backside, I'll let you know some of the basic, boilerplate stuff, you should make sure YOUR lawyer puts into all your contracts. And, last but definitely not least, I'll make suggestions on how to handle the process of securing the other party's signature and make it all official. Listen in, and let's do this...!
