While the population of bugs (microbes) in your gut is bestowed upon you at birth (thanks mom and dad), your diet has the most prominent impact on your gut bugs' nature, composition, and health. Sounds gross, right? But these bugs accomplish wonderful things for our bodies. If you are vegan, well, then these beneficial little bacilli will generate healthful harmony in your life for years to come! Good job, vegans!
Current researches point out that a plant-based diet reduces the development of chronic diseases such as cancer, metabolic syndrome, Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, and cardiovascular disease significantly. Mush of this resistance to disease stems from your bugs (thanks bugs!). And on this episode, we will tell you how these bugs got your back when you feed them lots of veggies!
Of course, eating fewer animal fats and proteins is also judged to be beneficial in avoiding the development of diseases. These products have been shown to negatively alter the microbiota.
It is becoming transparent that diet is an indispensable factor connected to microbiota and the health of your gut bugs. While the relationships between diet, microbiota, and human health are complicated, virtually all published literature on microbiota demonstrates that a vegan diet, above any other food, has a unique and significant influence on both the gut microbiota and all aspects of human health.
