After more than a year in ICE detention, multiple transfers, lockdowns, appeals, and uncertainty, my name is finally called for the last time. From Krome… to Louisiana… to a deportation flight back to Jamaica during the height of the pandemic, this is the final chapter of my detention story.

In this season finale, I reflect on the people I met, the conversations that stayed with me, the pain of leaving my life in America behind, and the unexpected peace waiting for me on the other side.
