Rose is a wife (to her husband John), a mother (to Kim, Johnny & Christian), she is a Tahitian dance master, business woman & pioneer in the Tahitian dance world that was imported to Hawai’i. Coming from a strong Pa’umotu lineage in the Vahitu region (Takaroa island), Rose was raised in Tahiti until she was of age to go to BYU Hawai’i where her family was in charge of the Tahitian Village at the Polynesian Cultural Center. Today she is known as an icon, teacher & judge often sought after in the ‘ori Tahiti community, she has touched the lives of literally thousands in the U.S, Japan & many other places. In this interview, we learn about her journey from humble beginnings to the truly regal woman she is today. This interview was really a joy to bring to life. I hope you guys enjoy it.
