A poet, teacher, and community activist Sesshu Foster was born and raised in East Los Angeles. His books include, City Terrace Field Manual (1996), World Ball Notebook (2009), Atomik Aztex, and  ELADATL, which we’ll be speaking with him about today. He’s the recipient of several awards, including the American Book Award, the Believer Book Award, and the Asian American Literary Award.
