Tariq Abdulrahman is a lot of things.
He's a half Bahraini, half Scottish former Commercial Lawyer and founder of Lift Bahrain & Sunshine Coast, the VP of Boxing BC, a Competitive Boxing Coach and an athlete. He also struggles with his mental health, including PTSD, anxiety and panic.
Like so many of us, it's taken years of introspective work for him to to recognize, come to terms with and address this struggle; especially because of the stigma that many men face when trying to open up about their feelings.
In this episode, the three of us take a look at men's mental health through Tariq's story. We discuss how he knew he was struggling, when he decided to reach out for help and what he has been doing over the last few years to address it. His insight and bravery, plus the seriously simple tips he offers for how men (and everyone!) can take the first steps to support yourself in a crisis, will leave you inspired.
Please share this episode widely; but especially with the men in your life.
