Cropsey was known to many Children of staten island. He was the mental patient who escaped from the nearby hospital and he would "come get you" to others, he was an axe wielding madman who killed his wife and was coming for you next. No matter what story you heard, Cropsey was the legend that would prevent kids from getting into trouble. That was until 1987. One young girl with down syndrome went missing which lead police and even the citzens of staten island on a massive search. Eye witnesses said that they saw her with one man, Andre Rand.
