If you look at your history books and there's a hanging on a town square -- that's Marion, Indiana. A young girl made a claim that some men whistled at her. The story was completely made up and men lost their lives. We always knew this in Marion Indiana -- that this is what they do to young black men.
So, for so many things to be taken out of the Indiana HATE CRIME BILL and have it watered down is like hanging us on that tree all over again. It's not right."
