If there is a need in the church in this depressed, pessimistic, therapeutic age, it is that of true joy. So in this episode, the 3GTers go on a quest to find the source of Christian joy and its practice.

The guys differentiate joy from simply being happy. They show that joy is a mindset and heart attitude rather than simply an emotion, though it does involve the affections and influences the emotions. Foundational to Biblical joy is the God-granted gift of salvation in Christ with the presence of the Holy Spirit in one’s life. Looking at models and finding ways to cultivate joy in the Christian life are given. Hindrances to joy and ways to overcome them are offered. Emphasis is made on the necessity of Christ granting it, the resurrection, and the Holy Spirit.
