Two sisters. One Savior. A moment that still speaks to every busy, beautiful, well-meaning heart today.
In this episode, A Doves' Eyes Devotional, we sit down in Bethany alongside Mary and Martha and let their story become ours. Martha's love for Jesus was real — she opened her home, she worked hard, she wanted everything to be perfect. But somewhere in the busyness, she lost sight of the Guest she was serving. Sound familiar?
Mary, on the other hand, made a radical choice. She sat. She listened. She fixed her eyes — her doves' eyes — completely on Jesus. And in that posture of humble attention, Jesus said she had chosen "the good part" — a portion that would never be taken from her.
Friend, this episode is an invitation to exhale. To lay down the striving and the to-do lists — even the good, godly ones — long enough to simply be with Him. Because a heart that is truly still before the Lord becomes a heart that is truly strong for the Lord.
You are not too busy for the better portion. It is still yours to choose today.
