Mel discusses the challenges of existing in the world as a portrait artist & how anguish is laced throughout her works as well as her creative process; what makes art "good"; and how phenomenology makes us all inherently creative. Melissa also considers the overlap between our current global crises & the deeply personal inner struggles of the artist.
