“Life is but Vapor!” How about that one on the back of your car as a bumper sticker? If you are looking to make friends, maybe find a different ice breaker than this statement, because you may scare people off. I know this from first hand experience. However, as Believers, we should ever be meditating on the vainness of life when lived for the sake of self rather than the sake of the Lord. Just as Solomon in all his wisdom saw that life lived for the pursuit of pleasure was meaningless, we too must evaluate all things and our hearts intent of what we are truly seeking after. Is it the pursuit of wisdom just to show others you are wise? Do you live a righteous life just so others will take notice? How about working for the sake of retirement and building up your 401K? I’ll make it short and sweet just as Solomon did. It’s all meaningless friends. You are here for but a moment, so make your legacy one that will actual last and live it for the one who created you, loves you, and wants to bring you into eternity with Him! Pursue the Lord, it’s the only pursuit in your life that has any value. The only pursuit that isn’t meaningless.
