Episode 1.6: Myths About a Writing Routine

Listen Later

Hello! Um, where did January go, y’all???

I give an update of what my January was like, and what I’m bringing in February (which is Black History Month), including more freebies for subscribers to my newsletter!

Today’s podcast is about dispelling writing myths you hear. There is a TON of advice out there on what you need to do in order to be a great writer. Do you need to wake up early every day? Or do you need to have music when you write?

I’m breaking down the most common writing myths I hear, and whether they work or you can take a pass on.

(PS - I know I said there was a blog post on comparing writing to a gym, but whoops! I'll have that up at a later date.)

I also give you a sneak peek at the next podcast, which begs the question: Can anyone be a writer? You don’t wanna miss that!

(PSS - Also enjoy Princess and her cameo.)
