Eddie is a former professional referee with over 150 games in the NSL including 4 grand finals, Olympic games and the FIFA World Cup in France in 1998 under his belt. He is now heavily involved in the development of the next generation of match officials here in Australia and within the Asian Football Confederation and he reflects on what it's like to be the man in the middle, the role of coaches and players in keeping referees in the game and what it was like to referee the likes of Maldini, Totti and Del Piero!
