The guys are constantly scanning the evangelical landscape, embracing the Biblical and questioning the suspect. As their eyes settle on what is known as the “Gospel-Centered” movement, with everything from preaching to budgeting being labeled such, they discuss its positive and negative effects.

They applaud the movement’s emphasis on Christ, justification, and putting the indicative before the imperative. But they also express concern over its many proponents who try to slap this label on everything while shying away from such things as the law of God in the believer’s life and sanctification. They consider other labels that might be more full-bodied, such as Christ-centered, Trinity-centered, and kingdom-centered. At the end, they just sigh a bit and remain thankful they are confessional.
