Why is it that this profession has now existed for multiple decades and the public still refers to us as good ole "Ambulance Drivers?"  Is it really the public's fault, the media or could it be our fault - those of us who work in the EMS industry?  No, can't be, can't be our fault.  Well, may be it is and our charge is to do better.
