Soto is the 2nd year head football coach of Texas high school football power, Converse Judson. A program which has won 5 state championships. Four of those were captured on the watch of the Texas high school football coaching legend, D.w. Rutledge

Soto played for Rutledge and walked off the Astrodome field in 1990, heartbroken. He and the Rockets lost the 1990 state title game in a close one against Marshall from East Texas. 

It was that moment when Soto vowed to return to that game and help lead Judson to a state championship. 

His path to Judson included stops at San Marco High School, then to Johnson High School in San Antonio. Then received the opportunity to take over his high school alma mater. A dream come true.
