Our animal brains tend to be suspicious of anything that looks out of place or unusual. We have to train ourselves not to see people who are different as a threat. Most weirdos are behaving in the service of their own values so it’s not really our problem if you don’t immediately understand. We want to normalise new behaviours where think we can do better.
