There’s a lot of incredibly useful intermittent fasting (IF) research conducted on fat rodents. They lose weight, their blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugars improve, but they’re rats. Studies in humans, almost across the board, have shown that IF is safe and incredibly effective, but really no more effective than any other diet. In addition, many people find it difficult to fast. So why should we fast, undergo long periods of starvations and when a long term plant-based diest appears to accomplish the same health goals. In this episode, we put the two diets head to head and get some extra help from a steller researcher from Auburn University, Dr. Austin Robinson.
Follow the mettlesome trio as they examine the current science surrounding how various fasting diets measure up against a plant-based diet.
Join Dan, Brian, and Austin as they peek behind this curtain of secrecy and decode the dietary deceptions to arm listeners with more information concerning their diet and health.
