On the season finale of the podcast, Dr. Ibe-Lamberts discusses the word Akátá— a word commonly used in a derogatory fashion to profile African Americans— and how this word plays a critical role in the division between African Americans and Transnational African immigrants. He discusses its origin, its application and why its needs to stop being used.
