Episode 17: Fighting for fair working conditions at El Milagro

Listen Later

Jose Uribe, a Workplace Justice Campaigns Organizer with Arise Chicago, and Alfredo Benedetti, a food production worker with El Milagro Tortillas, talk about the Sept. 2021 walkout at the famous factory in Little Village and subsequent gains for El Milagro Workers.

They describe harsh working conditions and sub-standard pay, and remind all workers of the rights and protections they enjoy, regardless of their immigration status.

This interview was conducted in both Spanish and English, with periodic translation throughout.
