Today's Episode is featuring Leneé Cook-Braxton, M.S., RYT , the founder of Holistic Performance Center and Senior Columnist for The Los Angeles Tribune, where she will be explaining the practice of mindfulness and how it can be beneficial to our overall health.
Guest Biography:
Leneé Cook-Braxton, M.S., RYT believes that all of us have limitless potential through our unique mind-body connection. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Dance, a Master's Degree in Exercise Science with a concentration in Sport Psychology, and is simultaneously pursuing her Ph.D. in Mind-Body Medicine at Saybrook and M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at another University. As an RYT 200-Hour Certified Yoga Teacher and National Association of Sports Medicine® Certified Performance Enhancement Specialist, Leneé’s research focuses on Performance Enhancement for Athletes, Non-sport Performers, and Organizations. She is a member of the International Association for Dance Medicine & Science, the Association for Applied Sport Psychology, the Society for Clinical & Experimental Hypnosis, and serves on the Board of Directors for the International Association for Worksite Health Promotion (IAWHP).
As a Senior Columnist for The Los Angeles Tribune, Leneé has the pleasure of writing meaningful content on a variety of topics. Leneé is also Co-host of the Mindful Business Renegades Podcast, which is ranked 38th in Norway! Fun fact: In 1996, Leneé made history as the youngest and FIRST African American Captain for the Inaugural NFL Carolina Panthers Cheerleader Squad and is an active member of the Carolina Panthers’ NFL Cheerleader Alumni.
