Psalms 42:7-8

"Deep called to deep at the noise of your waterfalls; all your massive waves surged over me. By day the Lord commands His faithful love; by night His song is with me - a prayer to the God of my life"

I love the beautiful imagery of the waterfall. The ever-flowing, falling water from above and splashing into the pool below. It's powerful but at the same time peaceful and calming. The writer of Psalm 42 speaks of bouts of depression and He likens the love and peace of God as the waterfall that washes over him and brings him new life of encouragement and hope. There is something comforting knowing that our Creator, our Heavenly Father, is always there. Through his nighty power comes gentle love that calmsall uneasiness in the pool of our hearts.
