Taken from the mix tapes of DJ Rhythm Dee's archives. This mix features the hip hop sounds of the early 80's from New York City, where the 4 elements of hip hop, (rapping, djaying, beatboxing and breaking) really meant something.
The Toronto urban music scene craved this subculture and could not get enough. Followers attended concerts, breakdancing competitions, turntablelist extravaganzas, and jams at the Masonic Temple and other venues.
