Gladbach are Bayern's "Angstgegner"
Of course having Upamecano sent off in the eighth minute for a very minor foul didn't help Julian Nagelsmann's team and their gameplan. The way the 35 year old coach reacted with his in-game changes as well as after the match didn't instill confidence in Raphael and Christoph as to whether Nagelsmann has grown into the role of Bayern's coach.
This defeat leaves the title race open wider than it's been in the last couple of years, with Union, BVB, Leipzig and even Frankfurt chasing Bayern. We'll have a look at each contender and preview the international cup games coming up this week, which will feature some of those contenders.
