If you ask the average person what the word 'church' means, you may get two of the most common answers: people who have put their faith in Christ (or some variation of that answer) or a place where people meet to worship God.  However, is that how the Scriptures define 'church'?  Is 'church' the appropriate word translated for those who have been called out by God to serve a purpose?  In this episode, I define what the word 'church' means and trace its origin back to the ancient Greek as used in the bible.  This episode will prepare you for the next episode so you don't want to miss it.
