This conversation with Dr. Charlene Williams, Assistant Superintendent of our small town’s school district, was important. I wanted to hear from an African American woman in a leadership position (specifically equity leadership) during this difficult time in our country. I was inspired and learned a lot. She co-wrote the book The Action Research Guidebook: A Process of Pursuing Equity and Excellence in Education. We talk about BLM, white privilege, and equity in our schools and the U.S. as a whole.
