Kim Campbell served in the Air Force for 24 years, flying over 1,800 hours in the A-10 Warthog and completing more than 100 combat missions in Iraq and Afghanistan. In 2003, she was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross for Heroism after successfully recovering her battle-damaged aircraft during an intense close air support mission.
Most recently, Kim served as the Director of the Center for Character and Leadership Development at the Air Force Academy. She is also the author of Flying in the Face of Fear: A Fighter Pilot’s Lessons on Leading with Courage.
