During this episode, I chat to Leonie about her journey of finding her authentic self and following her purpose.
Leonie shares her personal journey of wanting to be an author and artist from a young age. She wanted to change the world but she took her parents advice that artists don't make money. She then decided that she wanted to be a Prime Minister but quickly discovered she didn't love her chosen career path and knew that she wanted to follow her passion.
We hear about Leonie's story of creating and growing her business. She wanted to learn about how to have a creative business and developing the business skills she needed. Leonie always knew that she didn't want to work full time in her business and she created that freedom to be with her family. We don't need to be working full time in our businesses, dedicating two to ten hours a week is enough and you will spend your time doing work that will generate income. Do a review of where you are spending your time online and see if it's revenue creating. If not, remove it and focus on what is. Ask yourself if I worked two hours per week on my business what would I be doing? You will find what you need to be doing to move your business forward not backwards.
Throughout this episode we discuss the power behind your why in everything that you do in your life and business. When you are feeling frustrated think back to your why and it will bring you forward. We also talk about email marketing and how this is the most powerful tool in your business to have.
Leonie talks about embracing yourself fully, following your heart and how to lean into what lights you up. Asking yourself what you are passionate about and following those signs. If you don't know what you are passionate about, play, explore and experiment. Write a list of all the things that you want to do, go try these things and see what happens. You may find your purpose and passion.
