Four days after announcing his discovery, Hargrove and two graduate students disappeared from their seaside research facility. Local authorities found nothing but strange markings on the walls and floors. The FBI's digital forensics recovered fragments of Hargrove's research suggesting the Codex contained information about entities called "The Whisperers of N'koth" - beings that exist in the spaces between reality.
