Episode 18 features Daisy Arriaga, a Latina from the Lower East Side. She grew up in a single parent household and met her father at the age of 13. With living in the LES where it was easy to repeat the cycle of poverty Daisy graduated from East Side Community HS, Ithaca College with a BA in Journalism and Legal Studies and Lehman College with a Masters in Social Work. Daisy is now a Licensed Master Social Worker with experience in child welfare, clinical psychotherapy and is now in the managed care sector of social work.   

Daisy’s passion is working with children and families. That is why she is working towards her LCSW, the highest license in social work and going into private practice.
