This episode covers the Transfiguration—the moment when Jesus took Peter, James, and John up a high mountain and gave them a sneak preview of his glory. Then Moses and Elijah appeared and talked with him, and Peter—not knowing what to say—blurted out that they should build shelters and stay there forever, wanting to skip ahead to the glory and avoid the suffering Jesus had just predicted. But then a cloud covered them and God's voice thundered: "This is my Son, whom I love. LISTEN TO HIM!" When the cloud lifted, Moses and Elijah were gone—only Jesus remained. The main lesson is that the glory IS coming, but not yet; there's hard stuff to go through first, and our job is to listen to Jesus and trust the process, because this isn't the end of the movie—it's just the middle, and the best part is still ahead.
