Episode 18: Tumbling Dice
Listen as we "roll the dice" and test out some new cocktail recipes. This Saturday's Derby prep at Fair Grounds is also examined in the unique way that only your hosts are capable of.
Gin Cocktail #2 (a.k.a. the Gin Spencer)
• About a quarter pear, cubed
• 1 jalapeño slice, seeded
• 1 ounce maple syrup
• .5-ounce lemon juice
• 2 ounces Tom's Town™ Botanical Gin
Add all ingredients save gin in a shaker. Muddle; add ice and gin. Shake and strain into a coupe or martini glass. Garnish with a slice of pear.
Wake & Shake
• 1.5 ounces bourbon
• .5-ounce triple sec
• .5-ounce maple syrup
• 2.5 ounces cold brew coffee
• Cream or milk to taste
Combine all ingredients save cream or milk in a mixing glass with ice. Stir and strain into rocks glass and top with cream or milk. Garnish with orange peel or zest.
Angry Colt (Nick's version of Tom's Town™ Angry Goat)
• 2 ounces bourbon
• 1 ounce strawberry habanero syrup
• .5-ounce lime juice
• 1 ounce Lillet Rosé
Add ingredients into cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and double strain into a coupe or martini glass.
