In this episode we will introduce ultrasound relevant to anesthesia such as echocardiography and ultrasound guided procedures. Specifically we will talk about transthoracic anesthesia (because that is what I had access to at my school) and talk about the different viewing windows, use of color doppler, and regional wall motion. Regarding U/S guided procedures, we will talk about the viewing windows like the long and short axis views, and discuss how you could use it for procedures like central lines and nerve blocks. Since ultrasound is a visual technique, I highly recommend checking out the show notes to actually see what I talk about. | Show notes: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1popEGtwKjR9zDV5ACnIzWKzoPzqP-POY/view?usp=sharing
