A vision board is a visual representation of your dreams that you can then set your goal from. It helps you be intentional to take active steps in achieving your goals. It is a vehicle to help you get from dreams to goals. This is not the only way to do it but it is one of the most fun ways.

How to setup a vision board?

1. Define your SMART goals
2. Specific – Does your goal clearly stat what you are trying to achieve.
3. Measurable – How will you know if progress is being made on your goals
4. Attainable – What factors may prevent you from accomplishing your goals
5. Relevant – What values in your life does the goal reflect
6. Time-bound – When will you reach your goal
7. Find your inspiration
8. Map out your board
9. Bring your vision board to life

How to use a vision board?

1. Your daily affirmations

• use your board to reinforce and remind you of your daily affirmations. For example, include quotes, words, phrases or intentions on your board to help you focus your mind throughout the day.

1. Stay focused

• we all have difficult days. However, a vision board can help you stay focused and overcome life’s everyday challenges. Connect with your board daily as you work towards your future vision and goal.

1. Positivity

• your board should make you feel positive, uplifted, motivated and inspired. Similarly, the words and images you have chosen should help to release any feelings of negativity and self-doubt, helping you feel positive.

1. Improve your visualization practice

• our vision determines our goals and in turn our daily actions and intention. From goals, to intentions, to vision, each one contributes to your overall visualization practice. Therefore, your board will to reinforce your visualization technique and improve your practice.

1. Mapping your goals

• your board can help you to make your next goal. Whether you want to run a marathon, buy your dream home or achieve a milestone in your career, having a vision board can ultimately help you to map out the path to your success in your mind.

• perhaps you feel nervous about a job interview or you’re not sure if you can reach a health goal.
