After leaving Brookhaven behind, the Outworlders take to the Wyrmstooth River alongside their newest ally, Captain Rhys Quinn. But this trade route has been abandoned for years... ever since whispers began of the Tanari, a mysterious river beast that turned safe passage into a gamble with the unknown.

As civilization fades into the distance on the journey toward Valkaar, secrets surface. The Outworlders must finally explain who and what they are… while Quinn is forced to confront his own ties to the Void...  and to young Shaunus.

And the river itself isn’t the only threat. The Murkmantle Wilds have reclaimed these waters, and something is watching from the canopy above.
