In our eighteenth episode we jump back to one of the most successful franchise stories ever created, starting with the books from the 1920s to the first film, “The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh” from 1977. Careful to choose the right Winnie the Pooh film as there are MANY. Avery also watched a little bit of the 2011 version and the 2018 “Christopher Robin.” We can see why these characters are so beloved by many and why they have stood the test of time. Each character has such a wonderful innocence and silliness to them. We can relate when Pooh eats too much and gets stuck in the door and cannot get out of Rabbit’s house...but was this a metaphor for constipation? We love the creativity the filmmakers use to inspire children to read by making it seem like Pooh was walking through the pages of his own book. However, some of the spelling errors confused us and Joel thinks he spelled “hunny” wrong for years. Join us as we jump back in time to our childlike wonder in this week’s nostalgic episode!
