Episode 18 with Shai Sewell Physical Therapist sharing his knowledge in managing patients with a diversity of cancer diagnostics mainly blood cancer.
Shai Sewell is a board certified clinical specialist in oncology physical therapy, and the primary acute care physical therapist working with oncology patients at the UF Health Shands Cancer Hospital. His passion lies in finding ways to make physical activity meaningful in order to better engage people throughout their cancer diagnosis. He has spoken on multiple platforms about the importance of exercise throughout cancer treatment and continues to engage with clinicians and patients about the inclusion of exercise to improve quality of life. His passion for oncology is patient centric with goals of optimizing function. This includes working with patients who are undergoing palliative, and hospice care encouraging and optimizing quality of life.
