A 37-34 overtime loss at Texas Tech wasn't what the majority of the Texas football fan base anticipated.

So, how did this happen?

First off, the blame is across the board, but definitely NOT on quarterback Hudson Card.

The backup to the injured QB1, Quinn Ewers performed at a winning level producing 277 yards passing and a pair of TD passes to one interception. 

The primary reasons are two significant reasons.

1A: Texas Tech conversion on 6 of 8 4th down attempts.

1B: Zero adjustment to Tech's adjustments in the 2nd half.
