On this episode, Joshua A.C. Newman, of much game design renown, joins us to talk about how the proliferation of DIY game design has changed the community and the way we play. Eventually, we get into questions about the design community more broadly and whether or not we need a separate critical apparatus for gaming.
We also banter a bunch at the beginning because we were waiting to Joshua's google+ to work and we had to catch up on Cinco De Megan festivities. Those little beeps and bloops you hear in the first chunk are Joshua's google+ slowly trying to work and getting him into the hangout as we talk about bachelorette parties.
