I purchased a gorgeous fiber batt that I believe was drum-carded by Michele Wang, called "Poison Ivy". I'm spinning it on my Bosworth spindle. After I met up with our tax guy, I had to stop by Knitty City, which happens to be right down the block from his office! I stocked up on more Chiagoo Red Lace knitting needles in US 6 (4.0mm) and US 4 (3.5 mm). While I do love knitting with Karbonz ... I forget how much I loved knitting with Chiagoos. They're metal, but they still have some grip, and the points are sharp, but not too sharp. My friend Laura is celebrating 5 years of Gynx Yarns! So she generously and awesomely sent me a skein of her "Confetti & Champagne" colorway, dyed on her Strong Sock. SEWING This past week, I took the pluge and bought a serger!! And friends ... it is AWESOME! I decided on a Brother Lock 1034D. It was a bestseller on Amazon and for $186.00, the price was right. I want to serge ALL THE THINGS, now. I prepped by watching some tutorials online. Creativebug.com has a great tutorial on how to thread it, and shows how to serge a simple T-Shirt.  When it finally arrived, I knew exactly what I was doing!
