On today’s episode of The Almanack Report, the first post-Covid AFL season has reached the finals stage, and eight teams remain in the fight to take home the 2022 premiership cup. For ten teams however, their planning for 2023 has no doubt already begun. Some have coaching issues that have either just been solved or still require some patching up. The trade period is fast approaching, and these clubs will be furiously scribbling down what kind of players they require to ensure that next season they are still on the playing field and not on a four week bender instead.
Today’s podcast episode runs its eyes over the ten clubs who have already begun their post-season mini-break, and hazard a guess as to whether they can make leaps and bounds in the right direction next season. That’s today’s edition of The Almanack Report, on the podcast that was also chasing Alastair Clarkson to help coach the crew, Thoughts from the Metal Cavern.
