In this episode the Five 2 Nine team travelled all the way to Strand to visit the local clothing brand, BRAhSSE, at their 18th pop up shop in Van Rheede Street. We’ve chatted to the brains behind this operation, Shakoer Baderoen. Shakoer’s 9-5 is being a logistics coordinator who exports citrus fruits, but during his 5-9 he has managed to create and develope a streetwear brand that is not only known nationally but internationally as well.
And Shakoer started it all with only a R100!! Friendship and collaboration are the heart of BRAhSSE. Shakoer's dream is to use his platform to strengthen unity in South Africa. With Heritage Day around the corner, we also chatted about what heritage means to Shakoer and how the concept fits into his companies brand image.
Shakoer is a man with a plan. He tells us more about his ten-year plan, his business model and the power of saying no. Lekker luister en lekker braai! Liefde, Elmé & Margo
