Aaron Carter's neighbors said they heard someone screaming, 'he's dead, he's dead' when a staff member found the former star unresponsive in a bathtub at his California home. Cater, 34, the brother of famed pop icon and Backstreet Boys singer Nick Carter, was found dead of what his friends suspect was a drug overdose, sources told The U.S. Sun. One neighbor, a local photojournalist, told The U.S. Sun that he heard on his police scanner the call come in that there was an unresponsive male in the bathtub. His wife, a nurse, rushed over with her AED [automated external defibrillator] with her and banged on the door. 'A woman answered the door and was screaming "he's dead, he's dead" but wouldn't let us in because she'd already called the cops, he said. Representatives for Carter's family confirmed the singer's death. His fiance, Melanie Martin, asked for privacy as the family grieves.
Millions of Americans are currently working two or more jobs in order to make ends meet, as global inflation and corporations jacking up prices have sent prices of food, gas, housing, health insurance and other necessities soaring in the past year
.More Americans have been working two or more jobs over the past few decades, according to data from the US census, with women more likely than men to have multiple jobs and multiple jobholders most prevalent among low-wage workers.
Since there was no winner in Saturday's drawing, the jackpot now rolls over to Monday. With Powerball, there are drawings three times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.
However, taxes will lower the take-home prize by millions.
Winners can either opt to receive a series of payments over nearly three decades and receive close to the $1.9 billion promised, or cash out for a single payment that is significantly taxed.
If multiple people win, then the prize would have to be split.
Before the winner can walk away with a single payment of the prize money of about $929.1 million, a 24 percent federal tax withholding on gambling winnings will be applied.
This would immediately reduce that amount by $223 million for a single prize winner, who would take home $706 million, according to Forbes.
Then an additional $97 million will be pulled for the top federal marginal rate of 37 percent, which would lower the prize amount to $470 million.
